our social impact

Kabisa is a social impact business created to provide self employment opportunities for young women and talented artisans from rural Kenya and Tanzania. We invest our profits into projects focussed on improving social, economic and environmental change.

One of the biggest challenges in rural Kenya is the arid land alongside deforestation which impacts climate change and as a result, either flooding or drought. Due to the consequent lack of vegetation, wildlife are drawn towards farmers minimal crops which creates conflict between humans and wildlife.

At Kabisa, we look at the associated challenges faced by our team and their wider communities, and how we can alleviate some of the burden. These include implementing projects which primarily focus on improving food and water security.

Our signature product is a set of six, 100% cotton, kitenge cloth napkins which are a vehicle to raise awareness about global food insecurity. Through connecting with organisations and individuals who are equally passionate about this topic, we aim to increase interest about Kabisa’s ethos and values, consequently generating long lasting, impactful social change.
